Design Feature: Cabinets with Glass

Happy October! One of our favorite months around here because of the rich colors, cooler temperatures, and fun events this month has to offer. With a new month, comes a new design feature to educate and inspire you! This month, we’re switching gears just slightly with our Design Feature. For October, we’re highlighting the use of decorative glass inside your kitchen cabinetry!

This element may not have been one of the top items on your interior home design list, but it might be considered after today! Whether it is used in your kitchen, butler’s pantry, or bar cabinetry, the use of glass can elevate the entire space. Not only is this a fantastic way to display your favorite glassware and decorative dishware, but it’s a fabulous way to create contrast in your cabinetry. Protecting your pretty dishes doesn’t mean they have to be hidden away out of sight!

When we’re looking at cabinetry, we often like to add glass to our taller cabinets, or if they go to the ceiling, the top cabinets. Adding in tape lighting is an additional way to provide a touch of elegance and even more brilliance to your statement pieces.

Adding glass in your cabinet design comes in so many variations! While we do recommend congruency in design for cabinets in the same room, it’s fun to switch up the style of glass or framing in an alternate space. This design feature just provides the jewelry for whichever room it’s added to!

We hope you leave feeling inspired by today’s design feature! If you’re looking to join the Magnolia Homes family, we would love to provide you with even more inspiration, or better yet, this statement piece in your own home!
