Celebrating 38 Years of Magnolia Homes
38 years of Magnolia Homes is in the books and we couldnโt be more proud! From building our first home to moving into our brand new design center and everything in-between, we have a lot of beautiful memories and people to be grateful for! And the best part? We are just getting started!
Adding to our excitement, our anniversary coincides perfectly with Womenโs History Month, while we share our actual birthday with International Womenโs Day on March 8th! There is something to be said about a woman who can pioneer such a successful business in a male dominated profession, and Ms. Karen Garner did just that!

As a 2nd generation female business owner, Ms. Karen demonstrates her resilience and dedication through everything she does! From supporting other women in the construction industry to mentoring her team and family, she is a matriarch in her field.
Ms. Karen attributes her strong work ethic to her parents who owned a bakery on Beale Street, where she spent many days as a child! When losing her father at a young age, she quickly learned how to be independent and a leader. These lessons inspired her to begin her journey upstarting Magnolia Homes as a single mother to two young children.
From the beginning, Ms. Karen had a clear vision– and that was creating what women love and want most in their homes. Setting herself apart from the rest as a woman builder, she found her passion with customized closets and spaces that were as functional and spacious as they were luxurious! With these spaces being her first dream for her homes, she intentionally designed them all to be thoughtfully crafted to bring happiness and fulfillment to her homeowners, so that they could live life well, a tradition Magnolia Homes proudly maintains today.

Years later, Ms. Karen welcomed her son Reggie Garner, Jr. to work alongside her as the Vice President and Partner of Magnolia Homes. Together they are a dynamic duo and a force to be reckoned with! Leading a team across various communities and thousands of home builds, this mother and son duo continues to put their employees and homeowners first.ย

From hand-selecting the design elements in every available home to the final walkthrough with a homeowner, they are there for every step of the way, leading by example and guiding their team! It also goes without saying that Ms. Karen and Reggie have a strong commitment to sharing their passions with their team through hands-on training and support. They are such a wealth of knowledge that inspires the team, and continues to foster an environment of growth and excellence daily!
