An Interview with our VP of Construction

An Interview with our VP of Construction: 3 Must-Haves he added in his Magnolia Home!

We’ve got an exciting interview on the docket today!!! Our Vice President of Construction, Hunter Dawson, recently built his own Magnolia Home and it is simply stunning. As a second time Magnolia Homeowner, he had a few details that were non-negotiable for his new construction home! As a family who thoroughly enjoys the outdoors, Hunter knew that his must-have list was going to revolve around exterior enhancements that they could soak in during their time together outside.

In their last Magnolia Home, the Dawsons spent tons of time on their back porch, complete with an outdoor fireplace. While they incorporated similar elements for their new outdoor living, something they wanted to expand on was their front porch. Their new home has a sizable and inviting porch that provides ample room for their family to spend time on, morning and night!

In addition, they knew they wanted to add a friend’s entry porch, which they did not have on their previous home. This thoughtful structural feature gives the family a practical everyday entrance, located conveniently near their bench and hooks, laundry room, and half bathroom, all without needing to open the garage!

Another exterior enhancement Hunter knew this home had to have was V-Groove planking on his porch ceilings. This is a feature incorporated on his last Magnolia Home that provided an extra ounce of coziness, design appeal, and warmth to his porches.

A new addition to his home that his family knew they needed: iron front doors! This is an elegant design feature that provides long-term durability, Hunter likes how low-maintenance iron doors are whilst adding an elevated look to the front elevation.

Hunter and his family have now happily lived in his new Magnolia Home for almost a year! They are still thoroughly enjoying it, but especially the items from his must-have list!
